Meanwhile, Head of South Jakarta Water Resources Sub-agency, Santo explained that the 8,261 square meter Lapangan Merah Reservoir, which was built in April 2025, is equipped with various attractive facilities.
The facilities include a jogging track, outdoor gym, composting area, fishing deck, children's play area, park, place of worship, and so on.
"We hope that the reservoir crossed by the UI Connecting Channel can overcome the problem of flooding that occurs in the surrounding area and provide benefits for residents in their daily activities, especially exercise," he hoped.
